This was one of my first movies.
I grabbed the camera one afternoon and walked from Millennium Park in Downtown Chicago to Water Tower Place Mall.
My favorite part is all the way at the end (I'm sorry) but watch it through I think you'll be happy with it as well.

Made me a bit homesick for Chicago.
Nice video.
OMG! That gave me some serious vertigo! :)
looks like a very historical place. I will have to add it to my places to go!
I loved the shot elevating up, that was genius. I also loved the lamp post decor.. right before you showed saks fith avenue (where i got my wedding dress from hehe). I am a sucker for ornamental detail.
Hi there Michael - I ran across your site by accident sort of. My brother sent me a link to the Wizards of Winter and I saw some of your videos that you've done. Fantastic!! I'd love to know how to do that stuff!!! What probram do you use?
Keep up the great work and happy holidays!
Cheers
Tracy
Thank you all for the great comments : -) It makes me feel wonderful!
Tracy - I hope you stop by again, currently I'm using a program called Pinnacle Studio but if you have Windows XP you can use the free program Movie Maker that comes with it, or if you're an Apple person you can use iMovie.
You really don't need a big program to make these videos, you just need a camera and a firewire card to get your videos from the camera to your computer.
If you don't have a camera you can still use Movie Maker/iMovie to make movies out of still pictures.
Movie Maker huh...I'll have to check that one out! I know it's on this computer - I've never ventured in there.
I'm a marketing manager for a software firm and we do a lot of meetings where we take photos - at the end of the conference or whatever we usually show the pics and everyone has a laugh...I can see myself having a few late nights (*attempting*) to put something together.
I have bookmarked your site - you are a hoot! I love Flo!
Hi Tracy,
Movie Maker is great for those types of slideshows, you can add music, fancy transitions.
I've done several "slideshows" like that for friends, I'll need to get their approval and post one for an example for you.
Come back and check on Flo, she just went for Lebansese food for the first time today.
