In the grocery store, the label on the shelf will tell you how much the product is based on a typical unit of measure, i.e. ounce, pound, pints, gallons, etc.

That way you can easily compare products and see how much the price difference is based on product size, etc.

These were those little crystal light packets that you put in a bottle of water to just make "a serving" It works out that if you were to purchase this stuff by the pound (that's 16 ounces, you get 5 lbs in a bag of sugar so that's a good comparison) it's $137.00 a pound!

Now the funny thing is, how many ounces of water are typically in a bottle of water? 20, maybe 24. The instructions said, "Pour the contents of one package into 14 ounces of water." WTF

Makes you think we should stop complaining about the price of gas, doesn't it?
